CS:GO players unbox almost 40 million cases in March 2023, establish new record

CSGO Players spent $98.7 mln to open 39.5 mln cases in CS:GO in March 2023. This is the biggest number since January 2022, according to the CS:GO Case Tracker analytical website.

Dreams and Nightmares was the most popular case to open, with over 5.2 mln times. Recoil Case and Clutch Case were next biggest with 4.3 mln and 4.2 mln unboxes, respectively.

CS:GO is currently at its highest, registering a record-breaking 1.5 peak player base in late March. The ongoing CS2 limited beta test might be the reason for the hype wave, as the players wait to get the invite, which can only be received via launching CS:GO. However, the game has been booming since February, before the Source 2 version was announced.
