"7:5, and my mom will give us a blowjob." Vitality Sayf gets criticized for inappropriate joke
2025-04-18 10:24:00Vitality Valorant player Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel used a rude joke during a team talk in a match against Heretics. Losing with a score of 4:7, he cheered up his team with a phrase, "7:5, and my mom will give us a blowjob." His words were put out on the official stream of VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1.
After the match, Sayf was criticised by the community. A week later, the player went on social media and apologized for his behavior.
Hey, I wasn't initially thinking of addressing this, but here goes nothing. I want to apologize for what I said during the Heretics game. I was nervous and trying to lighten the mood while we were losing. I didn't think, it just came out and I'm deeply regretful, especially considering I was referring to my own mother in an inappropriate manner.
Since then, I've been diagnosed with ADHD, and when I reflect about a lot of things with my personality, everything seems to make a lot more sense. I'm by no means ever going to excuse myself from what I said, it's merely giving perspective. I have also recently started taking medication to better manage it.
I would also like to be very clear, just because I said something unacceptable towards my own mother doesn't mean people have to make jokes about her or drag her into this. She has nothing to do with anything, so please, if you just need someone to hate, then let it be me, but please leave my family alone. With that being said, I will be taking a step back from social media so I can have more time to reflect and focus without all the noise.

Many thought his excuse wasn't enough. Vitality's official account supported their IGL, as well as many professional players in the comment section. Some fans blamed the event's production team for letting Sayf's joke go live on the broadcast. This also contradicts Riot's general approach of heavily censoring in-game communication for ordinary players to create a welcoming environment for different groups of people.
Vitality lost the map 6:13 and the series 0:2. They are currently sitting in the middle of the group in VCT. The team will play the next game against NAVI. It is scheduled for April 24.
