TenZ on overload of abilities in Valorant: "Feels like my color blindness is cured for a short duration"

Sentinels streamer Tyson "TenZ" Ngo complained about the oversaturation of visual effects happening in Valorant games. He joked that they during such moments he feels like his "color blindness is cured." The discussed this on X and shared another player's video as an example of "average Valorant experience."

The amount of colors and effects I see on my screen during some rounds… feels like my color blindness is cured for a short duration.

TenZ's post was a response to another professional player Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel. Team Vitality captain recalled that it was different during Chamber meta.

Valorant promised gunfights will decide, but recently i just feel so overwhelmed by the sheer amount of utility. During Chamber meta, at least people got to aim and play traditional shooter, now GL seeing your screen some rounds.

In the comments, many agreed on their takes. Some pointed out that the game started to remind Overwatch. The fans also cited former Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent's claims when the game was in development. They reminded that the core idea was "abilities that augment gunplay, instead of fighting directly with abilities."
