ScreaM apologizes for teasing switch from Valorant: "The reference to CS2, it was more irony than anything else, very misplaced in hindsight"
2023-07-23 08:48:00Karmine Corp player Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom apologized on Twitter for accidentally making fans believe he might switch to CS2. He admitted that his message was an unfortunate joke, as he wants to continue playing in Valorant.
I tweeted out of frustration at not qualifying, and some of my comments were clumsy and unnecessary, and I apologize to everyone. I also saw that my last tweet was taken the wrong way, and I'd like to clarify a little.
I've given absolutely everything this season to try and win and take KCORP to the top, even affecting my health. I don't regret it, but this season and this defeat are really complicated for me, as they are for all of you. As I said, I accept my responsibilities. As for the reference to CS2, it was more irony than anything else, very misplaced in hindsight, given the circumstances...
I want to continue on Valorant and do everything I can to win trophies. This marks the end of our season in the VCT, and it's time for me to get some rest before thinking about the future. I don't yet know what the Karmine is going to do for next season, so I'm waiting to see what my options are. Thanks to all of you for your support during this complicated year, both personally and from a sporting point of view.

ScreaM joining Karmine Corp in November 2022 didn't meet the expectations. The team didn't go deep in VCT 2023 LOCK.IN and finished dead last in the EMEA League. In their last attempt to qualify for Valorant Champions 2023 through the LCQ, they stopped 4th, two positions lower than required. Meanwhile, almost all the participants of the year's main event have been determined, except for two last slots from the Pacific and American leagues.
