Disguised Toast: "How do esports orgs actually make money?"

Streamer and Valorant team owner Jeremy "Disguised Toast" Wang came on Twitter with a surprising question. He wanted to know "how the esports orgs actually make money," soon after acquiring a professional lineup and naming it after himself.

Even though his tweet looks more like a joke, there may be a grain of truth to it. Just recently, Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik asked Toast on stream about the salaries. He refused to reveal the exact numbers but answered that it is higher than $5,000 per month.

Considering Disguised competes in NA Challengers, which is a tier-2 competition, that's a pretty high salary. Even Subroza was surprised to hear it. "Wow! I want to join," immediately stated the former TSM player.

Disguised made it to the VCT 2023 NA Challengers Split 1 through the open qualifiers. The team is led by Joshua "steel" Nissan, a very reputable IGL, and almost every other player has VCT experience. They'll have to justify their salaries pretty soon: the split starts on February 1.

Valorant Champions 2023 might be hosted in USA, Los Angeles
