"Looks like a Killjoy map." Sean Gares tests new map, recommends best agents to play Lotus in Valorant
2023-01-07 16:27:00Valorant analyst and the former coach of 100 Thieves, Sean "sgares" Gares, tried out the new Lotus map, which came out on test servers recently. He played three matches on it and made some interesting notes and guesses on stream.
He thinks that the map is really small. Sean showcased one moment where he was able to put a turret near the A plant and come to B in just a few seconds.
Look how small the map is. The radius on my shit [ability] right now should let you know how small it is. You know how on Haven, you have to really think your Killjoy setup. Like, "Man, I'm really confined here." Look at this map: I put my turret down to hold an A push, and then just like be in B, planting the spike. It's kinda wild.
Sean Gares also thinks that Lotus is best suited for Killjoy, with her utility easily blocking the narrow chokepoints across the location. In his opinion, other preferable agents for the map may be Raze, Viper, Astra, and maybe even Harbor.
I’m imagining Killjoy, Raze, I think a Viper/Astra would be insane. But with Harbor becoming better and better… I know he’s coming.
It’s looking like a Killjoy map. Because look at how tight these chokes are and the fact that Killjoy mollies can just stop hits in them.
Lotus will arrive with the start of Episode 6, Act 1 on January 10, 2023. It is another map with a three-bomb-site layout after Haven.
