G2 Esports has assembled its new Valorant lineup to compete in North America. According to Dot Esports, citing multiple sources, they brought two former Sentinels players, Shazeeb "ShahZaM" Khan and Michael "dapr" Gulino.

Another addition to the lineup is coming from Verison1. Its former players Erik "penny" Penny and Maxim "wippie" Shepelev are coming to G2 with their coach Ian "Immy" Harding, previously reported by Dot Esports. The team completes its roster with lesser-known OXY from Dark Ratio.

G2 will compete in Challengers since the organization didn't get a partnered slot in VCT. It was rumored that the developers were planning to bring the organization on, but changed their mind following the Ocelote debacle. This stage allows them to qualify for Ascension, a new competition that allows the teams to earn temporary participation in the partnered league.
