G2 Gozen reverse sweep grand final to win first VCT Game Changers Championship title

G2 Gozen defeated Shopify Rebellion in the VCT 2022 Game Changers Championship grand final. The team had to come back after a 0-2 score in the bo5 series to win the trophy.

After two tough losses in a row on Pearl (9:13) and Bind (9:13), G2 Gozen woke up and smashed their opponents, barely giving away any rounds — Ascent (13:3), Icebox (13:2), and Breeze (13:5).

Shopify Rebellion GC coach banned from grand final for "offensive gesture"

For the core of Julia "Juliano" Kiran, Petra "Petra" Stoker, and Michaela "Mimi" Lintrup, this is quite a unique achievement. The girls came from CS:GO, where they won female world championships on various teams. For the last years before switching to Valorant, they played together and were also one of the most prominent rosters, winning numerous tournaments.

VCT 2022 Game Changers Championship took place on LAN in Berlin from December 15 to 20. The eight best teams from VCT fought their way to the title and a share of the $500,000 prize pool. For their victory, G2 Gozen earned $180,000.
