China qualifies for Valorant Champions first time in history, as EDward Gaming batters through Korean-Japanese LCQ

EDward Gaming didn't lose a single map in the East Asian Last Chance Qualifier for Valorant Champions 2022 and earned the spot at the main event. This was the Chinese debut in the VCT against the teams from other regions.

EDward Gaming played against four opponents. They had only one overtime, against Northeption, across nine maps. Before that, Chinese Valorant was mostly a thing in itself, although they visited small local tournaments.

EDwards run is interesting to see amidst rumors of franchising. Japan and Korea are rumored to have the most slots in future franchising, about 2-3 for each country while China wasn't mentioned at all.
