FPX took VCT 2022 Stage 2 Masters championship over Paper Rex

FunPlus Phoenix won VCT 2022 Stage 2 Masters grand-final over Paper Rex. The match ended with a 3:2 score — Bind (13:3), Icebox (7:13), Fracture (13:7), Haven (7:13), and Breeze (13:9).

Andrey "Shao" Kiprsky was the star of the last map, making huge highlight in a very important moment, and allowing his team to increase its lead over the opponent.

VCT 2022 Stage 2 Masters was the first LAN-tournament for FunPlus Phoenix roster, since the team had to miss the previous Masters in Reykjavík due to travel complications. The team also started this tournament with a stand-in after Dmitry "SUYGETSU" Ilyushin couldn't get his visa in time. He was only able to join the team after it already finished the group stage.

Both finalists got enough points to qualify for the Valorant Champions 2022. FPX earned $200k, while its SEA opponent took home $120k. The VCT 2022 Stage 1 Masters OpTic Gaming were left behind on the 3rd place with $85k.

The tournament was held in Copenhagen on July 10-24. 12 teams were fighting for a $650k prize pool and VCT Curcuit points.
