Shroud to Sentinels tweet gathers 6,5 mln views

Sentinels' surprising announcement of Michael "shroud" Grzesiek's comeback reached enormous reaction numbers on Twitter for esports. At the moment of publication, it has 235k likes, 50k retweets, and almost 6,5 million views for the attached video.

Shroud's comeback to esports came out of nowhere. A former CS:GO pro, Michael retired in 2018 and became one of the most successful streamers in the industry. Considering how much time esports practice consumes these days, it will probably hurt his viewership numbers.

Shroud wasn't the most notable player in CS:GO, but certainly one of the most beloved. During his time with Cloud9, he had average numbers and won only a single big event, ESL Pro League S4, back in 2016.

Before signing shroud, Sentinels weren't doing too well. They had a rough season, finishing dead last in NA VCT Stage 2 Challengers. Allegedly, shroud will replace Hunter "SicK" Mims and debut in NA Last Chance to try qualifying for Valorant Champions 2022.
