ShinV's competitive journey began in October 2020 with IKR (Ikarus Cyber), participating in the PVS Winter 2020 tournament. Although his initial team didn't achieve a top placing, this marked the start of his professional career. He played alongside players like ALeo and Fap, gaining valuable experience in high-stakes competition. His early matches laid the foundation for his future successes and helped him develop his skills in the demanding world of professional PUBG.

Throughout his career, ShinV has represented four different teams: IKR, UNP (Unicorn Phoenix Danang), EZ (EZ Esports), and currently UNC. His time with UNP was particularly successful, contributing to several high-placing finishes and a significant portion of his total prize money.
