Starfield and Redfall delayed to first half of 2023

Bethesda postponed the release of its biggest upcoming title Starfield to the first half of 2023 as well as Redfall. The reason was that both developing studios want to polish the projects to perfection, as the publisher announced on Twitter.

The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them.

We want to thank everyone for their excitement for Redfall and Starfield. That energy is a huge part of what inspires all of us every day and drives our own excitement for what we are creating.

We've made the decision to delay the launches of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023.

There were strong rumors that 11-11-22 is a date set in stone. The original Starfield announcement and the following reports confirmed that Bethesda wants to stick to the "sexy date".

Starfield will be Bethesda’s first new franchise in decades. The space RPG is supposed to take place in line with Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. Redfall is an action-adventure game. Its release was planned for summer 2022.
