Faker's insane low-HP play vs Chovy in the semis of Worlds 2024 doesn't get on official stream

T1 superstar Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok had an insane highlight in the second game of the semifinal at League of Legends World Championship 2024. The midlaner successfully traded against Jeong "Chovy" Jee-hoon during the early game in an almost suicidal attack. The moment wasn't spotted by the observers of the tournament and didn't make it to the official broadcast.

Journalist Ashley Kang brought the clip from the Korean web, where it went viral. A version with better resolution later appeared on Reddit. Faker as Sylas, while being on low HP, attacked Chovy's Ahri aggressively, evading his nukes and coming out on top. At the end of the exchange, they had around the same amount of health.

Faker's heroics were the only positive for T1 in this game. Gen.G stomped them 12:1, but despite the win, decided to ban Sylas in the next one, so the legend played Ahri. The defending champions ended up winning the series 3-1 and made it to the grand final.

World Championship 2024 is being held from September 25 to November 2. The tournament takes place in Paris and Berlin, with the grand final in London. 20 teams compete for a share of $2.2 mln. Faker is going for his fifth Worlds trophy, and this is also his third grand final in a row. This time, they'll face Bilibili Gaming.
