LPL postponed Spring Playoffs again due to the COVID situation in Shanghai

The LPL 2022 Spring Playoffs have been delayed due to COVID-19, the official Twitter account stated. The matches will be postponed to April 12th and onward.

Due to the current Covid situation, to protect the health and safety of our players, coaches, team personnel, and staff, we have decided to postpone the playoffs schedule to April 12th and onward. The games will be played remotely.

The organizers released a new Spring Split Finals schedule. The LPL will resume on April 12 with a match between Top Esports and Victory Five.

The event was previously postponed until 8 April, but the lockdown in Shanghai had made adjustments. The daily number of reported cases of COVID-19 is about 15,000 at the time of publication.

If the situation doesn't return to normal, the winner of LPL 2022 Spring risks missing the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational 2022. The championship will be held from 10 to 29 May in South Korea.
