LCL Spring Split is denied. CIS will not take part in MSI
2022-03-25 15:30:00LoL Continental League 2022 Spring is shut down due to the military actions in Ukraine. The team from CIS will not take part in Mid-season Invitational 2022.
After the discussion with the licentiate, we took a tough decision to cancel the LCL Spring Split. We think it is impossible to run the league in such a tough time for the region. Unfortunately, that means that CIS is missing Mid-season Invitational this year. We will share the information about the Summer Split as soon as we have such a possibility.
LCL 2022 Spring was paused after the second week due to the situation in Ukraine. The organizers delayed the four game weeks until they took the final decision.
It is not the first time that the team from the developing regions misses an international tournament. The teams from Vietnam missed all the events in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID restrictions.
