Riot Games are disabling pro accounts due to the bug with MMR buff

Riot games are inactivating new accounts given to pros due to they moving to new regions, League of Legends gameplay design director Mark Yetter said. The accounts will be disabled due to the unfair advantage in the ranked games and replaced by new ones.

The change will touch all Riot-given accounts created later after January 7, 2021. They have excessive MMR buff in the solo queue ladder. 'We’re disabling them to address unintended differences in LP gains/losses which resulted in an unfair advantage over non-pros in reaching the top of the ranked ladder,' Riot said.

The developer will provide new accounts with fixes made to the starting MMR. The update may take a few days to complete, Riot said.
