Schalke 04 Esports: selling the LEC spot is the possible future scenario

Schalke 04 might have to sell a spot in the League of Legends European Championship, the esports department stated.

Esports organisation came to this decision due to the possible relegation from the Bundesliga and financial issues because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The club is open for discussion with an interested buyer, but no final decision had yet been taken.

At the moment, Schalke is sitting in the 5-6 places in the 2021 LEC Spring Split. The team will likely finish in this split, even if the LEC spot will be sold.
