MSI 2022: qualified teams, format, and schedule
Mid-Season Invitational 2022, the first international event of the season, is coming. With the end of regional leagues, almost all the participants in the tournament have been determined. The event will be held from May 10 to 29 with a live audience in Busan, South Korea. 11 teams
Here are the teams that qualified for the MSI so far:

* The LPL's winner may have a problem attending MSI 2022 due to the Chinese restriction amidst the situation with COVID-19 in the country. According to the LNG’s mid laner Kim "Doinb" Tae-sang, the LPL representative will have to participate remotely from China or skip the event. Later Riot Games has confirmed this info. Tournament operator will implement ping latency to keep the competitive integrity.

Mid-Season International 2022 format
The top teams from 11 regions will compete in the Group Stage, the Rumble Stage, and the Knockout Stage for the minimum $250,000 prize pool. The LCL (CIS) can't send a team to MSI due to the LCL Spring Split being canceled.

May 10-15: Group Stage, best-of-one double round-robin format.
May 18-22: Rumble Stage. The top two teams from each group will move on to play a best-of-one double round-robin.
May 27-29: Knockout Stage. The top four teams will compete in a best-of-five, single-elimination round. The two remaining teams will face off in the Finals.
