Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 details: New Chrome Splash, Vault keys guide, Battle Pass, weapons, map changes and loot2022-09-18 13:59:00
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 has arrived, including the new Chrome Splash consumable that allows walking through walls. Battle Pass, new weapons, loot, and other features, such as Vault Keys.
Misterius Chrome substance is the new big thing in Fortnite. It's a throwable consumable that can be hurled at any surface or structure and make it penetrable. Characters can walk through them and surprise their opponents.
You can also apply it to yourself. This way, your character will get fire resistance, become invincible to fall damage, and will phase through walls with a new air dash. Chrome Splash is used just like ordinary grenades. To use it on yourself, you should throw it down.
Fortnite map changes
Fortnite map changes swap South East to orange. The Chrome substance appears in the east, around the new locatin called Herald’s Sanctum. Another POI Condo Canyon was remade and is now called Cloudy Condos. Chrome will supposedly spread across the island with future updates.

Vault Keys and where to find them
These are new items that allow players to unlock vaults with loot. Vaults have two levels of security: the first can be unlocked with just one key, and the others will require two of those.
The keys are randomized loot, so there is no guaranteed way to obtain these. Once you find a key, the mini-map will show you the locations of the vaults. They are marked as lock icons with a number representing how many keys are needed to unlock them. Note that double-locked vaults have far greater loot.
