Epic Games denies rumors about Fortnite admin banning and unbanning players for money

A user under the nickname CatGamerOP released a lengthy Google document accusing Fortnite workers of banning people on demand or without any reason and unbanning them for money. The documents reveal screenshots with someone named Renzy, who is claiming to be a friend of an Epic Games manager.

There are multiple pieces of text where Renzy receives messages to block someone or to remove the ban. Sometimes, he asks for money to do so. CatGamerOP states that Renzy scammed him of $200, which was the reason for him to expose these chat screenshots. The publication dragged a lot of attention in the Fortnite community.

Epic Games denounced the accusations on Twitter just four hours after the publication. They claimed to have investigated the allegations and concluded they were "unequivocally false."

Renzy stated on his Twitter that CarGamerOP edited the screenshots of chat messages to set him up. Epic Games manager Stephen Thompson, who was accused of helping Renzy in the fraud, didn't respond to the allegations.
