Patch 7.39 for Dota 2: New Health Restoration mechanic, buffed Roshan, return of Poor Man's shield, and more

Valve released update 7.39 for Dota 2. The developers rebalanced multiple items and heroes, along with map changes and general readjustments. The full list of changes is available on the official website.

The update introduced many changes to facets. Some characters had those abilities rebalanced or received new ones. Some heroes like Silencer even got two new facets. Maximum distance from Blink Dagger is now always the same, as the item lost the overshoot feature. Multiple neutral items were removed, Poor Man's Shield is featured among their replacements.

Roshan was buffed, and Tormentor spawn time moved to minute 20. The developers introduced new Health Restoration ability to unify Lifesteal amplification effects under one name. This caused a change of description for multiple items. Root and disarm spells are now count as "Bound."

This will most likely be the base patch for The International 2025 after additional hotfixes and readjustments. The tournament's qualifiers will kick off in early June.
