"This vegan will be back!" Seleri officially departs Gaimin Gladiators

Gaimin Gladiators' former captain Melchior "Seleri" Hillenkamp officially parted ways with the organization. This happened after a month of inactivity, initially framed as an "extensive break from Dota 2" due to burnout from the tight schedule. The official statement was released on X.

Seleri responded to the post with nice words towards the team. He didn't reveal his plans for future. Earlier in March, he promised to come back after the break, as he "wasn't done with Dota."

I'm grateful for all the years I got to play under GG. We made a name for ourselves together! Not everything can last forever, but our memories together will. Thanks to all our sponsors, my teammates and everyone that cheered for me all these years! This vegan will be back!

The Dutch captain was part of the squad's core since 2021, when they built Team Tickles with Ace, dyrachyo, and tOfu. The team turned into the most dominant squad of 2023 and remained a strong contender in the following year, although with fewer victories. They reached two TI grand finals and won Riyadh Masters 2024.

Seleri went inactive in February, replaced by stand-in Arman "Malady" Orazbayev. The Kazakhstani support remained on the lineup so far but wasn't officially added to the roster. The next event for Gladiators is the FISSURE Universe Episode 4, starting on March 22.
