Save-: "To be honest, we didn't plan to bring back gpk~"

BetBoom Team support Vitalie "Save-" Melnic answered a question about Danil "gpk~" Skutin's return to the active Dota 2 roster. He said that the team did not plan to change their midlaner, but decided to do that after the failure at ESL One Bangkok 2024. The support shared this at press conference, uploaded to the org's YouTube.

To be honest, we didn't plan to bring back gpk~. We lost ESL One Bangkok, finished 3rd, and it so happened that we rated gpk~ higher than kiyotaka, choosing experience.

Kiyotaka became the new midlaner of BetBoom Team after The International 2024. Gpk~ moved to the bench at the time. He also took a short break from professional Dota, but returned as a stand-in at BLAST Slam #1. With him, the team lifted the trophy of a tier-1 LAN tournament for the first time since its creation.

BetBoom Team's next tournament will be FISSURE Playground — Dota. The event will be held from January 24 to February 2 in Serbia. The prize pool is one million dollars.
