Valve extends Crownfall event to February

Valve Corporation announced that their 9-month-long event Crownfall will be running for few more weeks. Previously it was planned to be ending on January 15.

According to the announcement in the official blog, Crownfall will end on February 6 instead of January 15 now. At the same time, both Winter sale for it, and Frostivus indeed ended on that date, just like it was announced when Frostivus started. Despite Crownfall not ending on this date, the developers added a credits sequence in the main menu of the game. Watching it will award players with more profile decorations.

The extension will give three more weeks for players to finish their challenges, claim rewards and spend their double down tokens and Crownfall store coins. After that all event resources, including coins and tokens, will no longer be possible to use.

Valve did not specify what are the developers' plans for the future. The players are awaiting patch 7.38 for a while now, but there is no reliable information about when it is going to come. The last balance patch was released on November 19.
