Korb3n on Yatoro replacing Satanic: "Such early return came as a surprise, so we had a tough choice to make"
2025-01-05 16:53:00Team Spirit manager Dmitriy "Korb3n" Belov explained the decision to bench Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov and let Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk to get back his spot on the team. According to him, the carry decided to return earlier than expected, so the organization wasn't ready with a plan and had to make a choice between the two players. Korb3n shared this on Telegram.
This was one of the toughest transfer periods for the last 10 years. <...> As you already know from the announcement, not only Collapse and Silent returned, but Yatoro came back as well. He didn't plan that, but it "happened this way." Such early return came as a surprise, so we had a tough choice to make.
We chose the more experienced and complete player, the legend of our organization. It's sad to release Alan, he is a unique player with a youthful fire, who couldn't show his full potential due to Murphy's law and various circumstances. I believe he will make it, and after a few years, his nickname will be chanted at arenas. I will support and cheer for him no matter the circumstances.
At the same time, I'm glad to welcome an old friend. I missed you. Our song has yet to be finished, Illya.

Yatoro replaced Satanic on January 5. The 17-year-old has to be proud of his results for such a short period of time, also considering that the team had temporary roster. He participated in five events and reached top 4 at four of them. For the last three weeks, Satanic has been playing mid in pubs, which many saw as an attempt to fit both players.
Collapse and Silent's return was scheduled for these days but in case of Yatoro, nothing was guaranteed. According to Korb3n, the carry wouldn't be accepted in any case, but rather depending on results of the team. Also, he was supposed to spent at least half-a-year in inactivity.
