Leak: Bard Frog might be the next hero after Kez in Dota 2 Rumors
2024-11-08 09:03:00Dataminers have found hints about a potential new hero in Dota 2's game files after the Crownfall Act IV update. There's a new line in list of heroes showing something called bard_frog. The information appeared in the Telegram channel Dotastepana.
Bard_frog was found in the cluster of the background images of the game heroes. Presumably, his picture looks like this:
Valve has not officially announced the frog hero and it is likely in early development. The previous two, Ringmaster and Kez, were revealed at The Internationals 2023 and 2024. Perhaps dataminers will discover more details in near future.
On November 8, the developers released Crownfall Act IV update, which brought Kez, who become 126th hero in Dota 2. He came out in just two months after Ringmaster, which is the shortest period between character release since 2014. Kez is also the first three-star complex hero since Arc Warden, who arrived in 2015.
