"SoNNeikO said he would punch ATF and put him in the ground." Gorgc reports details of incident at PGL Wallachia S2 Rumors

Janne "Gorgc" Sefanovski shed some light on the "altercation" between Dota 2 players Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev and Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf, which took place at PGL Wallachia S2. The streamer quoted a Falcons' member, who shared the details during the stream.

This is coming straight from Falcons [reads message]: Ammar had called SoNNeikO "braindead" in a pub three months ago. SoNNeikO messaged ATF on X, saying that if he qualifies for a LAN, he will punch him. After he qualified, he liked his own message. Okay, so he was backing it up. And then, they met IRL. Apparently, SoNNeikO put his arm around ATF and said he would punch him and put him in the ground. That's the story.

After the incident, SoNNeikO's team AVULUS was penalized with 110 seconds of draft time for every game of the following bo3 against the Falcons. Gorgc thinks the punishment was mild for such a case. He also considers "putting in the ground" to be a death threat, although the exact wording and SoNNeikO's ability to express himself in English are uncertain.

Previously, a Russian Telegram channel posted a photo from the hotel lobby picturing SoNNeikO standing close to ATF and putting his arm over his shoulder. Presumably, the incident took place earlier on the same day. As of writing, the bo3 series between the teams has started. Falcons won the first game. You can watch the match here.
