Yatoro's hieroglyph dedicated to Ame wasn't included to Aegis

Valve didn't inscribe the Chinese hieroglyph 雨, which was part of Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk's nickname at The International 2023, on the physical Aegis of TI13. The symbol was a reference to star carry Wang "Ame" Chunyu. Fans spotted this on the photos of the trophy posted online.

Most of the nicknames on the Aegis keep the additional cosmetic symbols and esports traditional capitalization. For example Ivan "MinD_ControL" Ivanov and Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barqawi keep the dash and the underscore.

Ame and Yatoro played most pubs among all players of TI13 ahead of Spirit vs Xtreme match

Yatoro is a massive Ame fan. Spirit stopped PSG.LGD in the grand final of TI10, but this year the Chinese carry got his revenge and eliminated Spirit from TI13. Yatoro shared that he learned a lot from Ame in early days of his career. Their respect is mutual and the two even chat with each other, despite the language barrier.

This year, the physical Aegis was expanded to fit the winners from 2023 to 2030. It's noteworthy that the hieroglyph is present in-game when you click on the fountain version of Aegis that shows the names of all TI winners.
