2024-09-15 22:33:00Valve placed an easter egg in the trailer of next Dota 2 hero Bird Samurai Kez presented at The International 2024. In the video, there's a writing on the wall, saying "Midas is an abomination." Fans were quick to discover the scribing and post it on Reddit.
A week before the tournament, fans discovered exploit that allowed Hand of Midas to have no cooldown on charges. When developers tried to fix it, the abusers were coming up with new ways of breaking the item. The whole thing affected matchmaking and attracted a lot of attention in the community. Even some professional players like Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf were spotted using the bug.
Kez will supposedly come out somewhere after The International with the release of Crownfall Act 4. The character was previously teased by the developers and appeared in the event's comic. He is a leader of the revolutionary Kazurai order aiming to dethrone Queen Imperia, the sister of Vengeful Spirit. So far, it's unclear what will be Kez's abilities in the game.
