Half-naked fan of boxi runs on stage during The International 2024 winner celebration Video

A Dota 2 fan ran on stage of The International 2024 during the post-event awarding ceremony. At that moment, Team Liquid support Samuel "boxi" Svahn was posing for the photos with the Aegis. He person was shirtless and had only a X-cross drawn on his body.

He dropped down on his knees near the player and stared at the cameras before taken away by the security. The viewers were confused what was the point of that move and what did X mean. It appears he was part of the group that cheered for boxi at Royal Arena. Other three had letters B, O, and I on their bodies.

It was the second incident at PGL events this year happened in the same arena. The very first CS2 Copenhagen Major was spoiled by a group of "protesters" paid by an online casino to storm the stage. That episode did more damage and possibly affected the outcome of a quarterfinal match: it happened during a game, and some players got scared as they couldn't understand what happened.

The International 2024 was held from September 4 to 15 in Denmark. The participants competed for over $2.5 mln. In the grand final, Team Liquid demolished Gaimin Gladiators with a score of 3:0.
