"I'm so glad I didn't ruin Nisha's career." BlitZ cries on stage after victory of TI13 Interview
2024-09-15 18:32:00Team Liquid players shared their emotions in the winning interview of The International 2024. While the whole roster remained calm, their coach William "BlitZ" Lee couldn't hold the tears. He thanked the team for the trust they put in him, and joked about Nisha's career that wasn't ruined because of inexperienced coach.
They took a chance on a guy who never coached any winning team before. We had so many losses, we spent five years without winning anything. We could've disbanded 20 different times like people told us to. We didn't make it to TI10, and Liquid still kept us on. [Sobs]
I didn't do anything here. I'm just happy that people like zai, Nisha, Matu [sobs], they took a chance on us and were willing to play with us. And I'm so glad I didn't ruin Nisha's career.
I also really want to thank our support stuff. It truly takes a village. I'm not good enough for myself. I learned that you have to deal with other people and succeed with everybody around you. And I'm good enough to admit that I'm shit but I have great people around me.
INSaNiA and MiCKe didn't find words to describe their feelings. Nisha humbly admitted that "maybe now" he can say he's one of the greatest player in history. Boxi joked that it's good to "start with a big one."
Really good to finally good a LAN. This is my first Dota victory at a tier-1 LAN, according to Liquipedia. It's nice to start with a big one. It's been a few tough years for me personally, so I'm really happy to see all my friends and family here, cheering and supporting.
The International 2024 was held from September 4 to 15 in Copenhagen, Denmark. In the grand final, Liquid took down their rivals, Gaimin Gladiators. They didn't lose a single map, even though they've never beaten that team before in the finals. Liquid has the longest-lasting core in Dota 2 history, as three of its members, INSaNiA, MiCKe, and boxi has been together for almost seven years.
