Quinn: "I heard whispers that one player is going to miss TI13" Rumors

Professional Dota 2 players and talent discussed potential visa issues for the upcoming The International 2024 on Gorgc's stream. Gaimin Gladiators midlaner Quinn "Quinn" Callahan said he "heard whispers" that one player would miss the tournament. He didn't specify who exactly.

The stream guests, including BlitZ, and Arteezy, have guessed how many players might not attend the event. Caster Austin "Capitalist" Walsh believes there won't be many issues, as PGL ran CS2 Major earlier this year.

I'm saying there would be under two players missing. PGL just did CS Copenhagen Major, and I don't believe there were any stand-ins there. It's the same tournament organizer, same place.

The main concern of the discussion was about Russian participants, who typically struggle with visas. Capitalist didn't recall that a whole team, 9Pandas, had to withdraw from the CS2 Major as half of their roster couldn't obtain visas. They were replaced by GamerLegion.

Zai: "Topson plays the way he wants on any team, in a way that no one can really replicate"

The players who attended recent events in the Schengen countries are typically safe. The only big Dota 2 LAN event held in the area this year was PGL Wallachia S1, and it faced visa issues: Tundra had to withdraw, while Falcons played without Malr1ne. 1win, who missed ESL One Birmingham earlier this year, is the most likely candidate to face paper problems at TI13.

The International 2024 will be held from September 4 to 15 in Denmark. Participants from all over the world will compete for a prize pool starting at $1.6 million.
