2024-07-30 11:01:00Azure Ray received a draft penalty following the rule violation at Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational 2024. Support Yu "Siamese.C" Yajun alt-tabbed to a stream during the match against Nigma Galaxy. AR lost 70 seconds of draft time in their game against Talon Esports.
Siamese.C opened a stream of Somnus`M and Chalice casting their match. However, it was done during the draft phase and the stars were playing PUBG.
The disciplinary measure had no effect on Azure Ray, as they were already out of the tournament at that point. Also, despite the draft penalty, they defeated Talon Esports and eliminated them from the Snow Ruyi Invitational.
A similar incident took place at Bali Major 2023. During the upper bracket playoff match, BetBoom Team's offlaner Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko alt-tabbed to a community cast of their match during a tech pause. They were penalized with a default loss and faced Azure Ray in the lower bracket after that. According to several reports, the Chinese demanded to disqualify Pure from the event and played against BetBoom with a stand-in as a result.
