Nigma without Miracle- and KuroKy wins two bo3 matches at Snow Ruyi LAN, achieving best result in two years
2024-07-29 14:02:00Nigma Galaxy started Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational 2024 with two bo3 victories over Chinese teams. The Dota 2 team achieved this while playing with two stand-ins replacing the star duo of Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi and Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi. Ghost and OneJey participate instead of them.
First, Nigma defeated Xtreme Gaming 2:0, then eliminated Azure Ray from the tournament. They are now tied with G2.iG for the first position in the group stage and guaranteed themselves at least a 7th-8th finish at the event.
Chinese teams have been in a slump lately, and AR recently overhauled their lineup. Still, this is already the best LAN achievement for Nigma in two years. They missed most tournaments, and their 7th-8th place at BB Dacha 2023 was a finish without any wins. The only comparable result is the same placement at ESL One Malaysia in August 2022. Miracle- didn't play that tournament, too, replaced by Dreamocel.
Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational 2024 runs from July 28 to August 4. Participants compete for a share of $500,000. The event has several substitutes, and two teams, Team Secret and nouns, withdrew due to visa issues and schedule conflicts. Nigma initially planned to go with V-Tune, but the Ukrainian carry also didn't make it.
