TORONTOTOKYO explains why he doesn't use voice chat in Dota 2

BetBoom Team support Aleksandr "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek has been playing Dota 2 pubs without a voice chat recently. As the player explained on his stream, communicating made him care too much about the outcome. So he decided to stop talking to his teammates.

Guys, I don't want to [use voice chat]. About two months ago, I noticed that when I used voice, it seemed like I was getting too emotional in games. I wanted to win too much. I call something, and I want my teammates to do it. And when they start doing complete bullshit, it's just [horrible]. So, forget it, I decided to play Dota without a voice.

Previously, TORONTOTOKYO gave his opinion on trash-talk in official games. The player joked that "it is for high-IQ players" and noted that it must be done at "the right moment." In the same interview, he also commented on their defeat in the ESL One Birmingham grand final.

Based on the season's results, BetBoom Team received direct invitations to Riyadh Masters and The International 2024. The tournaments will be held in July and September, accordingly. Currently, the team has no other tournaments on the schedule.
