Azure Ray just lost to G2.iG in one the most exhausting series of all time in professional Dota 2. The full bo5 grand final in the closed qualifier for ESL One Birmingham 2024 lasted almost eight hours and 5.5 hours of in-game time. It also featured the two longest games of patch 7.35.

The series started at 9:00 AM CET, and the first game immediately established a patch record of 1 hour and 23 minutes. After some back and forth, the teams bypassed their own milestone in a map that lasted 24 minutes longer. The final game wasn't as exciting: G2.iG achieved a relatively fast win around 17:00 CET.
