SumaiL vs Evil Geniuses court case set to November, with Arteezy, ppd, UNiVeRsE and other pros as witnesses

The court case between Aster's midlaner Syed "SumaiL" Sumail Hassan and his former organization Evil Geniuses will take place on November 6. Big names in Dota esports will join the trial as witnesses, including Artour "Arteezy" Babaev, Peter "ppd" Dager, Clinton "Fear" Lumis and Saahil "UNiVeRsE" Arora. The information was revealed by Richard Lewis.

He shed some light on the details. For example, EG tried to exclude some of the "late-disclosed witnesses," but that was denied. The organization also made 27 requests for admission, such as "to admit that in a meeting with then CEO Nicole Lapointe Jameson SumaiL was advised to consult an attorney before signing anything."

SumaiL sues EG for imposing unfair contracts and jeopardizing part of his shares in EG. His lawyers accuse the organization of concealing the true nature of contracts and taking advantage of SumaiL's inexperience in such operations. Richard first reported on the case in March and shared the court document with 11 charges against EG.
