Solo: "I will be super happy if Valve cancels DPC leagues" Interview
2023-09-11 13:14:009Pandas captain Aleksey "Solo" Berezin visited BetBoom DACHA community cast and commented on the rumors about Valve canceling DPC leagues in 2024. Solo thinks it will be a good change for competitive Dota 2.
Yeah, I heard about it. They say there would be a lot of tournaments. The professional scene would be more like CS. The current DPC system has gaps that are way too big. I remember one Tour running more than a month. One match per week is also a total bullshit.
Shitty system. I don't know who came up with it or anyone who liked it. And then, you look at the world DPC place distribution and see Gaimin Gladiators sitting in the second position. And they won five tournaments. What is that nonsense? <...> I will be super happy if they cancel DPC leagues and bring something new instead. Because, for real, it's crap.

He also spoke about their practice matches. Solo was impressed with Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen and Leon "Nine" Kirilin progress on Tundra Esports.
We played two scrims online with Tundra, and it was hard, also with someone else. Topson is in an unreal zone; he doesn't f**king stop at all. Nine plays position 4 very well. It seems to me that Saksa helps him, he somehow coaches him or something. Nine has his own pool: Skywrath Mage, Dark Willow. He lanes well with 33. It seems this reshuffle was good for the lineup. Judging by the feedback from other teams, Tundra really nails it.
On September 7, 2023, Topson joined Tundra, replacing Saksa. The player continued to perform on the midlane while nine moved from mid to support. Tundra does not participate at BetBoom DACHA. The new lineup will debut at DreamLeague S21 on September 18.
