Chu will miss Major in Berlin. OG will go with a stand-in, and it won't be Ceb

OG player and ex-coach Evgenii "Chu" Makarov announced he won't be going to the ESL One Berlin Dota Major 2023 with the team. The reason are visa issues. He explained it on KD ALL IN podcast.

Him and Mikhail "Misha" Agatov were trying to get a visa through German embassy in Serbia. But they got a decline, with an explanation that their residency is currently shorter than 6 months, so they need to get a certain special permission from "another place". While the players contacted that place on the same day, the response came much later, and by that time all next visa appointments were already taken. They also tried to get a Portugal visa before that, but the embassy told them that they need a German one, since they are going to "spend more time in Germany".

At the time of making that podcast, April 17, Chu wasn't sure who will stand-in for him on the team. He said, that Sébastien "Ceb" Debs can't help them this time because he just got married. Most likely, they will get someone else from WEU, "possibly someone from Entity, maybe Fishman and Tobi", said Makarov. It's unclear why he listed two members, as he didn't say that other OG players failed to get a visa as well. It's possible that Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin also had issues, like it was rumored before.
