GH: "I'm happy with ATF. He is playing a lot of games, his hero pool is slowly getting bigger and bigger" Interview
2023-01-26 12:15:00Nigma Galaxy's support Maroun "GH" Merhej commented on their win over OG in DPC WEU 2023 Tour 1. In the post-match interview, he also discussed Sayed "SumaiL" Hassan and Ammar "ATF" Alassaf.
I feel like SumaiL has stepped up. He's an amazing player for me. Sitting behind him, watching him play. Even in pub games, I enjoy how he outplays almost everyone. He always owns midlane, so I'm happy about that. I feel like he's a special type of player.
On recent loss streak
It's hard to pinpoint every single reason right away. We have to play and see. We are a relatively new team, so we have to make it step by step. I'd like to say that our support system is very good, especially our coach, captain and everyone else, including the manager. They're doing a lot of stuff to help us. Obviously, I believe that we, as players, must focus on our games.

On Ammar
One of the most important things when you pick a new player, is to play on his strength. Let's say this player shines on certain heroes, on certain roles, and you need to address that. Otherwise, if you try to take a player out of his comfort zone, it will make a huge difference. He wouldn't feel comfortable, he wouldn't play as good. I believe we are focusing on his strength as we do with everyone else on the team.
I'd definitely say that he has a good attitude. He's a really hard worker. I see him playing a lot of games, his hero pool is slowly getting bigger and bigger. So I'm happy with him. Especially because of his work ethic: it feels like he works a lot and really hard.
ATF was under fire recently for his small hero pool and playing offlane heroes from other positions. Until now, Nigma couldn't win a single match and got on the brink of elimination. With a record of 1-4, their chances to survive are starting to look better now, but the relegation match against Team Secret will still decide their fate.
