Gorgc on ATF's performance: "Name a more iconic duo than blaming a new Nigma player for every single thing that's wrong about the team"2023-01-23 10:35:00
Dota 2 streamer Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski defended Ammar "ATF" Alassaf on stream after a Reddit thread discussing the player's performance. He agreed that the carry's hero pool is too small but found it difficult to blame him for Nigma's losses in DPC WEU 2023 Tour 1.
Name a more iconic duo than blaming a new Nigma player for every single thing that's wrong about the team. C'mon, dude, it happens all the time. It's been happening for the last three f**king years.
I feel for Ammar. You don't want to wake up to a Reddit thread like this. Sheesh, that is a rough one. I say this: people have a point. Ammar is not a safelaner. I'll make some points to defend him. Because if everyone's going to gang up on him, somebody has to defend this guy.
First, Ammar didn't choose to force himself onto Nigma. He got invited. So, they knew what they were getting. Not a guy who's gonna play Naga. They chose to invite him, knowing his hero pool. I don't think it's a bad idea of playing offlaners on the safe lane and putting a carry mid. It's not crazy. It has been done before and has been done successfully.
He has a limited hero pool, and yes, I think it's a problem. Don't get me wrong. But I don't think that he deserves all the shit for it. Not sure. <...>
Nigma hasn't had a good result for the past two-three years. And they had Miracle- all along, who is arguably a GOAT player. I'm not sure if he is as good as he was back in the day, but, you know, he's still very good. I'm not sure if Ammar is gonna be the guy to blame for all this.
When Ammar switched to carry, I thought he would practice all the carry heroes. If you want to play in Division 1 and succeed, I don't think it's enough to play five heroes as carry. I think you need to play illusion heroes. You need to have a good hero pool. I don't think that's enough.
Nigma lost four matches in a row and is getting closer to the relegation point. Their next opponent will be OG, the former team of ATF. They will clash on January 25, 15:00 CET.
