Sources: The International will return to Seattle in 2023 Exclusive

The International will return back home to Seattle in 2023, after four events held all around the world, according to our sources. The specific venue of the event is unclear yet.

Our source didn't specify if Valve will reveal the location during The International 2022. The TI11 announcement didn't happen at TI10 — instead, the developers disclosed that the event will be held in Singapore only in spring of 2022.

Arteezy: "I didn't want PSG.LGD to lose early, because I felt like they'd give the best Dota in the grand final"

The last four events were held all around the world. TI8 happened in Canada, for TI9 the teams flew to Shanghai, China, while TI10 was planned in Sweden. But due to COVID-19 and political issues in the country, Valve had to switch locations to Romania. Finally, the current TI11 is held in Singapore, where Tundra Esports and Team Secret are currently battling for Aegis of Champions and 18 mln prizepool.

Last TI event locations:

  • The International 2022 — Singapore
  • The International 2021 — Romania, Bucharest
  • The International 2019 — China, Shanghai
  • The International 2018 — Canada, Vancouver

The whole The International series started in Germany, at GamesCom in Cologne, and continued for two years in the Benaroya Hall in Seattle. Later the event moved to Key Arena for a few years. After the venue got closed for reconstruction, Valve first held TI8 in Canada, and then went all around the world.
