ChuaN and pieliedie return to competitive Dota
2022-05-29 07:40:00Veteran Dota players Wong "ChuaN" Hock Chuan and Johan "pieliedie" Astrom both joined new teams ahead of DPC 2022 Summer. The Malaysian switched from coaching to supporting for Neon Esports while the Swede joined Team SMG.
Both teams finished the last Tour in SEA at the bottom of the charts. SMG held its spot in the upper Division, but Neon dropped to the lower one. ChuaN replaced John "Jing" Rey Duyan. TI2 champion finished his career in 2018 and started coaching in late 2021.
Pieliedie hasn't been officially announced but SMG listed the player on the Valve events registration site. He will replace Michael "ninjaboogie" Ross following the support's scandalous kick.

Astrom is one of the oldest players in Dota who started playing in 2007. Most of his glory days happened from 2014 to 2016. During this period, he won Shanghai Major with Team Secret and placed 4-5th at TI4 with Cloud9. His last squad was European Team Bald Reborn, which he left by the end of 2021.
