Best and worst heroes and facets of The International 2024 Group Stage. Most picked and banned heroes at TI13
The International 2024's group stage has finished, including the Seeding Decider phase. As always, the tournament has its own meta, evolving as it goes. This year, Valve also introduced facets and innate abilities, refreshing the hero pool. Here's how the heroes were drafted at TI13, which had the best winrate, and which failed.
Best heroes of TI13 group stage by winrate
Drow Ranger won all of her matches but played only four so far. Excluding rarely picked characters, Mars ended up as the most successful hero of the group stage. He was picked 13 times and won almost 85% of the matches. Next in line were Luna and Naga Siren with ~78% winrate.
As for the facets in the group stage, Mars's Blood Sport brought the most wins. Kunkka with High Tide goes next with 81% winrate (Grog Blossom had 36%). He and Batrider were the only two heroes with more than one facet picked by the pros in the group stage. Every other character always used only one.
Most picked and banned heroes of TI13 Group Stage
Naga Siren was the most contested hero so far. She was mainly banned and appeared only in 9 matches. Shadow Demon, Sand King and Windranger followed her with a similar number of games when they were picked or banned.
Sniper, Windranger, and Kunkka were picked the most. Every character played 27 matches. Next were Mirana, Dragon Knight and Snapfire.
27 heroes were never picked or banned, including Pudge, Phantom Lancer, Spectre, Arc Warden, and Warlock. Axe, Brewmaster, Anti-Mage, and Death Prophet were only banned. Lycan was blocked three times and also never appeared in any game.
