Team Spirit picks first Train in top-tier CS2 at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025
2025-01-15 14:28:00Team Spirit and Fnatic played first high tier Train in history of CS2. They were the only ones who dared to try the new map on the first day of the BLAST Bounty Spring 2025. The bo3 series ended up with the Major champions' first win of the new season.
Analysts and players expected new Train to be a T-sided team, and the first impression falls in line with the predictions, although the data is obviously too small for any real conclusions. As heavy favorites, Team Spirit won only six rounds in defense and dismantled the opponents in the attack. However, they also won both pistol rounds.
Donk and zont1x have no professional experience even on the previous version of the map. Their first try stats were mediocre. Team Spirit might become stronger if they put time into Train after the removal of Vertigo. That map was their most vulnerable spot and cost them Copenhagen Major semis.
BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 runs from January 14 to 26. The first stage is held online. The playoffs with eight teams will take place on LAN in a studio.
