FURIA analyst: "Yes, FalleN definitely stays for one more season with FURIA"
2024-12-08 16:46:00FURIA analyst Vyacheslav "innersh1ne" Britvin revealed that Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo will continue playing for the CS2 roster in 2025. Even though they didn't make it to the playoffs at Shanghai Major 2024, the specialist believes they had a successful season, climbing up the rankings. He shared his thoughts on Telegram.
Yes, FalleN definitely stays for one more season with FURIA. Moreover, I think the roster's peak will be reached during the next half of the year.
If we ignore the first emotions after the loss, we had a decent season. We reached playoffs at every tournament we participated in, except IEM Cologne and this Major. Finishing 9th-11th is not that bad of a result. Somewhat satisfying. We have to consider two factors. First, we had a very tough bracket: Spirit, Vitality, Liquid; and FaZe is a hard opponent in the 2-2 bracket bo3; only paiN was a level lower. Second, it's sad we couldn't close games against Vitality and FaZe. We could've won both here and there.
One of the key tasks was to get back in the top 10, which we successfully accomplished. We started the season 18th and moved almost ten positions up. Getting to the semis at IEM Rio is a nice achievement. The quality of the game increased significantly, and we have every reason to believe that the next season will be no worse.
FURIA lost the bo3 to FaZe Clan at Shanghai Major 2024 and stopped one step away from playoffs. The team showed some spirit, refusing to give up at the score of 2:12 on the final map, and almost completing a crazy comeback (10:12).
The 33-year-old FalleN spoke about possible retirement multiple times in the past. Even before joining FURIA, he wasn't sure if he was ready to continue competing. Shanghai Major was his 16th Valve tournament. The IGL won two of them in 2016 and put Brazil on the world map of professional CS.
