Zeus: "S1mple was a difficult person when I came back from Gambit. The atmosphere was very negative"
2024-12-01 13:12:00Former CS pro Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko compared the vibes of his last two prominent teams. He said he liked to play more in Gambit because it was a calm environment, compared to the negativity of NAVI, where Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev played at the time. The ex-pro shared this on stream.
[Where was the better atmosphere?] Honestly, in Gambit, for sure. The guys were calmer. Game-wise, it was more comfortable for me because there was less hustle and less yelling.
And in NAVI, it was... I'm not talking about the first roster, but about the time when I returned from Gambit. It was a depressing atmosphere, very negative. Sasha "s1mple" was a very difficult person at the time. NAVI had its benefits: the organization was better, we were cared about, nice salaries, nice conditions, everything was great in that sense.
Zeus was part of NAVI's initial lineup, built in 2010. He was kicked from the team in 2016 and moved to Gambit. Next year, the IGL won PGL Krakow Major and was welcomed back to NAVI.
Despite Zeus and Edward's subpar individual shape, along with the mentioned internal issues, the team managed to win a few events during the Astralis era. They also got to the grand final of FACEIT London Major 2018, but soon started falling into a slump. Zeus left the team at the end of 2019.
