NAVI qualifies for their 21th Major in Shanghai, remains only team who attended them all
2024-11-19 09:54:00NAVI qualified for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. In the fourth round of the RMR they beat SAW on two maps — Nuke (13:10), Ancient (13:2). The Ukrainian organization will play their 21st major in a row.
NAVI participated in all previous Valve's tournaments and will continue this streak in Shanghai. They completed the qualifiers with a 3-1 match record. It's unknown if the team will be placed in Opening or Elimination stage, as the seeding rules have changed.
Few organizations managed to survive those years, let alone attend so many Majors. The best after NAVI are NIP and Fnatic, both qualified 16 times. Despite this, the Ukrainian organization have won Majors only twice in history. They have trophies of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.
Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will be held from November 30 to December 15 on a LAN in China. The participants will share $1.25 million. Another team that qualified for the event in round four is Cloud9. Previously, Vitality and MOUZ earned their spots.
