ZywOo and apEX qualified for their 8th consecutive Major
2024-11-18 16:38:00Team Vitality and MOUZ earned their spots at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 in CS 2. They defeated FaZe Clan (2:0) and NAVI (2:1) respectively in the European RMR.
This Major championship will be the eighth in a row for Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and Dan "apEX" Madesclaire. The French duo has not missed a one since the French superstar joined them in the end of 2018. Their best achievement during this period was the triumph at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. This was also the only time Vitality got to the grand final.
This Major will be 19th for ApEX. He caught up on dupreeh by this metric. The Dane isn't guaranteed to play in Shanghai since Falcons are struggling even against low-tier opposition. After s1mple joined the roster, they only won a single map, and it happened at this RMR against a noname team Dynamo Eclot.
The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will be held from November 30 to December 15 in China. The world's best teams will play for a share of the $1.25 mln prize pool and the sticker money. Vitality might change the roster after the event. According to KRL, Spinx is supposed to leave the squad after disagreements lasting since summer 2024.
